Strategic Planning
Shunpike organization that helps other art non-profits with board
development, help with filing for non-profit status, acts as umbrella for
other organizations and provides strategic planning
Strategic planning process
-Put together focus groups who are we? What do we want? What's wrong and
right?
-Developed 3 year plan initially presented to community for corrections,
additions and opinions and has since been ratified
Heather: strategic planning update
Community wants to come up with ideas to do what we want to do with
resources and funds
Ideas: Small events, big events, workshops, park clean-up, exhibits
-Advocate and evangelize for your idea and
Ignition can support it. INW needs input from community, send that input to
board@ignitionnw.org.
If you have questions about fleshing out ideas, contact
heather@ignitionnw.org.
INW provides framework, step-up, push for and bug us about implementing
programs that you want to see.
Phill A: delegated chairmanship of arts
committee to Stuart Updegrave
Take it away, Stuart
Wants to see more art in the city like the
art we see out on the playa
Need to form art committee call for folks interested in serving on that
board. Email him at
stuart@ignitionnw.org
We fund art for the events we support/create INW can and should fund art in
community outside of events
Creation of Pratt scholarship at least
one person/quarter details to come.
Do you have skills you'd like to teach?
Would you be interested in facilitating ½ or 1 day welding workshops. Would
your project get done if you had some community participation in the form of a
quick turnaround project/skill sharing events ala the Synapses project?
