Critical Massive '08 will be held in the quiet, pristine valley of Skalitude Resort. The majority of Skalitude is a large, level, grassy field that was once a private air strip. When we arrive, it will be green and uncut. The owners have requested that we leave as little impact as possible on the land, in order to preserve its pristine appearance for the events who follow us. This means we must take special care to protect the land while we are on it, in order to foster our relationship and be welcomed in the future.

The Lower Field

Some theme camps may be placed on the upper field, but the majority of campers will be placed in the lower field.

  • Only tents and carports/domes will be allowed on the lower field.
  • No personal camping vehicles will be allowed on the lower field. That includes RVs, vans, trailers etc. Camping vehicles must remain on the upper field.
  • There are three exceptions to this rule:
    • Trucks with large loads (like the the F2M Funhouse) may drive down to unload, but then must park on the upper field.
    • Registered Art Vehicles with theme camps (like the Birthday bus, Treehugger) may park as part of the Theme Camp structure.
    • An approved shuttle truck will make continuous trips from the parking lot to the lower field. Smaller groups may use the shuttle truck to load in/out. There are also wheelbarrows available on-site. And, you might consider adding a trailer to your bike.
  • There will be a quiet camping area that will not allow generators or loud noise/sound.*

We highly recommend BICYCLES and CAR POOLING!

RVs and trailers must register with cmspace@ignitionnw.org

* All sound systems must be covered, ie by domes, tents, carports, teepees etc. Sound systems will be placed strategically about the lower property, so even rogue sound systems MUST BE REGISTERED for placement. Please consider using an eco-friendly power source, or be judicial in your power consumption.
